Newsclippings

Here are just a few of the clippings from my old job as Deputy Sheriff 2412 that I was able to save. I hope one day to gather them all up for my scrapbook, so if I do I will scan them and get them posted. To see the clippings full size just click on them.

This is where I got the pound of marijuana that is pictured at my Deputy page. I also seized $1,000 and books on how to manufacture Methamphetamine, and some supplies used to manufacture the drug. Surprisingly this was my first experience with a "Drug Interdiction Stop". It worked, I was hooked.

This one came after a traffic stop and an anonymous tip that resulted in the arrest of a fugitive. He of course denied who he was but we finally got it straight.

There is alot more to this than the sheriff printed. This started out very tense and got worse. They ended up trying to flee into Florida then when they did stop the driver tried to put the van in park and jump into the back. She was a 15 year old with no license. Then the owner tried to jump in the drivers seat but the van was in reverse. Needless to say it slammed into my patrol car. Nassau County Deputies charged the owner with attaching tag not assigned, no insurance on vehicle, reckless driving, and a few others. All I got out of it was the drug arrest. Stinks huh?

This one was pretty confusing. Lets start by mentioning that in Florida you are a juvenile until you reach the age of 18, but in Georgia the age is 17. I stop this car and the female in the car is a missing juvenile out of FL. but she is an adult in GA. These two guys, one is her boyfriend picked her up and helped her run away from home. They had beer, and dope so an arrest was easy. I wanted to charge the guys with taking her out of the state but they said it would be complicated. Just let her parents come get her and charge them all with the dope since nobody would confess who it belonged to.
